Session Description According to the CDC, obesity in the U.S. was 41.9% for women from 2017-2018 NHANES Data. OB/GYNs receive little formal training in weight management modalities and techniques. New medications to treat obesity are emerging. Would you like to be at the forefront of an evidence-based approach to treating obesity? This session will examine obesity as a chronic disease affecting women from adolescence to menopause. Participants will learn about anti-obesity medications and their role in treatment of obesity. The focus will be in GLP1 receptor agonist and emerging pharmacotherapy.
