Dr. Peahl is an Assistant Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a health services researcher at the University of Michigan. She recently served as the visiting scientist for Maven Clinic, the largest online digital women's and family services clinic. Her research focuses on how to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and equity of reproductive health care through developing, studying and disseminating high-quality maternity care interventions. She is a nationally recognized expert on prenatal care redesign and innovation and has completed seminal studies and thought pieces on how to best incorporate patients’ preferences and needs into rightsized prenatal care plans: plans that match patients’ needs to services delivered. She is the co-director of the Michigan Plan for Appropriate Tailored Healthcare in pregnancy (MiPATH) and the Director of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecology Redesigning Prenatal Care Initiative.
