Dr. Moore Simas is Chair of Ob/Gyn at UMass Chan Medical School/UMass Memorial Health and Professor of Ob/Gyn, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Population & Quantitative Health Sciences. She is current president elect of the Society of Academic Specialists in General Ob/Gyn (SASGOG) and additionally serves her profession as an ABOG oral examiner and through ACOG, AIM and IHI especially as it relates to addressing perinatal mental health (PMH) through clinical practice guidelines, safety bundle, and change package development. She is the founding obstetric engagement liaison for MCPAP for Moms, the first in nation Perinatal Psychiatry Access Program, and medical director of Lifeline for Moms which networks the 22 state and 2 national Access Programs around the country. Dr. Moore Simas' research has been and is funded through CDC, PCORI, NIH, and Perigee.
