Laurence (Larry) Vaughan is currently the Director of Scientific Affairs, Integrated Diagnostics Solutions, Becton Dickinson and Company. His primary focus is on cervical cancer and women's health where he supports global evidence generation and scientific exchange. He previously held the position of Director of R&D, where he led the BD Onclarity HPV Assay development team, which is the only FDA-approved assay with extended genotyping capability. He has been working in cervical cancer since 2006, having previously held management roles at both QIAGEN and Digene corporation. He holds a degree in Genetics and a Ph.D. in Molecular Microbiology, both from Trinity College Dublin.
