Morcquess Oliphant is a second year medical student at Morehouse School of Medicine. She had the opportunity to spend a summer at UMass Memorial Medical Center rotating in the Obstetrics & Gynecology department through UMass Chan's Summer Learning Opportunity. Here she gained valuable experiences in the field, and solidified her desire to purse a career in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Morcquess has a passion for working with underserved communities, and is currently a student co-director at the student-run free clinic at her medical school. She is also the secretary of her Medical Students for Choice Chapter, and Vice President of the OBGYN Interest Group at Morehouse School of Medicine. She hopes to pursue a career in Obstetrics & Gynecology in the future, and work to improve health equity for minority populations.
