Ms. Dang has been a behavioral scientist with the CDC’s National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities since 2001 working primarily in the area of prenatal alcohol and other substance use and fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASDs). Ms. Dang has served as the technical monitor/project officer for numerous cooperative agreements and contracts involving the prevention of alcohol and other substance use during pregnancy and FASDs through health education, health communication, and program implementation and evaluation. Since November 2022, Ms. Dang is a member of the Office of Health Communication and Research Translation which works across the Division of Birth Defects and Infant Disorders to provide leadership on communication, policy, and research translation. Ms. Dang previously worked in CDC’s National Immunization Program, CDC’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, and with the Indian Health Service in the area of injury prevention and surveillance. Ms. Dang received a BA in psychology from Oglethorpe University and an MPH in behavioral science and health education from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health.
