Dr. Haider received her MD from the University of Chicago and her MPH in maternal and childhood health from the Harvard School of Public Health. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), Harvard Medical School followed by her fellowship in Family Planning at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Throughout her career, Dr. Haider has been committed to excellence in women's health care as a clinician, educator, researcher, and advocate. Her research focuses on reducing reproductive health disparities, specifically addressing gaps in contraception access, HIV prevention for women, and rates of maternal mortality. She has been funded by the National institutes of Health, CDC, and foundations and has numerous publications and accolades for her work. Dr. Haider is actively involved in educating the next generation of women's health providers through mentorship of trainees and is an advocate for women's health serving in a number of national roles and she is the current President of the Society of Family Planning.
