Anthony (Tony) Jarc is Senior Director Digital Solutions & Machine Learning at Intuitive, where he leads a diverse team building digital tools that leverage surgical computing and AI to improve surgeon performance and patient outcomes. He has also helped establish the emerging field of surgical data science by empowering and collaborating with surgeon scientists to leverage objective metrics from the da Vinci surgical platform. Recently, he launched Case Insights – an ML-enabled digital application to enable surgeons to discover novel insights that will help them perform better surgery. Anthony joined Intuitive Surgical in 2011 as a Surgical Data Scientist. He received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University in 2011.
