Session Description
Universal screening for hepatitis B and C is recommended during each pregnancy, and hepatitis B and C screening is recommended for all adults at least once in a lifetime. Hepatitis B vaccine is recommended for all persons aged under 60 years, including pregnant persons. Obstetrician-gynecologists are a common entryway into health care and may be the first line in screening, prevention, and management of hepatitis B and C. This session will cover what obstetrician-gynecologists need to know about hepatitis B and C screening, hepatitis B vaccination, and hepatitis C treatment – and how to overcome common challenges in executing recommendations.
