Dr. Veronica Maria Pimentel, MD, MS, FACOG is a board-certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist at Trinity Health Of NE, OBGYN Residency Research Director, and Associate Professor of OBGYN at the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine. Dr. Pimentel completed her MFM fellowship training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and OB/GYN residency at Boston University Medical Center. She is a graduate of the University of CT School of Medicine.
Dr. Pimentel is the host of ACOG’s Labor of Love podcast, a member of ACOG’s Continuing Medical Education Committee, and a past member of the Scientific Program Committee. She is also the treasurer for the CT Chapter of the National Medical Association.
Dr. Pimentel’s clinical work, research, and advocacy are grounded in equity and justice. She is the originator of the Lucy, Betsey, and Anarcha Days of Recognition, which recognize the contributions of enslaved Black women to OBGYN. Dr. Pimentel is the recipients of several honors and awards, including most recently being recognized as a champion for maternal health equity. Dr. Pimentel has been an invited speaker at many conferences, including at the Mothers of Gyncology Conference, the Society for Family Planning Conference, Congressional Leadership Conference, and ACOG D1 Meeting.
